As much as this idea is not something high tech (except that it would be great if it was secured with fingerprint) I feel a waterproof opening box would be very useful.
I realize the space is very tiny, but that's exactly how much space you need for a couple of pills, or a folded money bill, that you can take with you when trekking or to the cinema.

This sounds interesting but they said each module has to have electronic 'guts' to communicate with other modules. I suppose if it sat next to the clasp this need might be eliminated?
And if this would bring back shells, I would support that : (as most already know)
