Hey all,

Regarding the memory debate I'd have to add in it would be super nice to have a higher count. I think it would be super cool to be able to use the device as a stand alone music player. With Bluetooth capability, wireless headphones are no issue. I know these days streaming pandora/spotify is the go to. But, I think it would be nice to leave my phone at home and go for a run with my watch tracking and supplying my Playlist.
---------------------------

What are others thoughts? Is being able to have your watch act as a stand alone music streaming device - of interest to the community?

Is it possible to not be locked to those 5 modules upon first preOrder. Other than the extra battery life, none of the available others appeal to me. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, but personally I'd be delighted already if I could get just the core... and then the kinetic and sim module further down the road.]]>

I hope the watch will work with.
What do you think about the importance of this compatibility?
Options
  1. They have to do that
  2. It could be good
  3. Windows? Are you killing me?

The support of these three entities is important, but apparently are not the only ones betting on eSIM. Some of the most important operators in the world, including AT & T, Verizon, China Unicom, Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, Telefonica, Vodafone and Orange, among others, also believe in eSIM. At first the possibility of dispensing with the traditional SIM can simplify and expedite the change of operator.

<![CDATA[Battery Module (new vs old)]]> https://www.chooseblocks.xyz/community/thread-76.html Sat, 06 Feb 2016 13:29:55 +0000 https://www.chooseblocks.xyz/community/thread-76.html After the last update I'm disappointed for the changes of battery module and here some of the reasons:
"I want to express my opinion that making the battery module larger is a huge misstep.
As others have stated, the ability to use multiple battery modules was important, especially because this
was supposed to serve as a "dummy" module that filled in when a user didn't necessarily want features
in all of the other modules. For example, I had planned on getting
two battery modules as part of my kickstarter pledge, because I wasn't too interested in some of
the other phase 1 options.
Additionally, I don't like the placement of the module being constrained to the bottom of the wrist,
because it results in less ideal placement of other modules (such as the heartrate monitor, and possibly more in the future).
I would very much prefer the option of a normally sized battery module, even if the mAh capacity was smaller. If resources allow, perhaps the larger one could be offered in addition to the normally sized one, but if not I would still prefer just the normal size one." (Terohnon)
"Directly from your original campaign page you said the following,
"Add as many extra battery Modules as you want and keep your BLOCKS watch running for longer.
Each extra battery Module extends your device’s life by around 20%."
Now I am being told I can only have one connected at any given time.
If I have a long trip somewhere keeping me away from a plug I may only be able to connect my MODULAR
watch with batteries to survive the trip without charging." (Shawn Pieper)
Having only one battery module (bigger than the others module) in a fixed position it's not a great idea for a modular smartwatch. IMHO
So who want the old version of battery module (dummy module 80mah) and who prefer the new battery module (bigger in size and storage 100mah and in a fixed position)?]]>

It would be nice to be able to talk to the team first hand and ask our questions and concerns that we have with every update. It's just better to be able to ask the questions over this live Q and A rather than posting our questions in the comments and then someone from the social team having to ask them to the team and getting back to us and wasting time in the process.
Seyi make it happen please. Angel Big Grin]]>

<![CDATA[Updated colors and finishes for BLOCKS]]> https://www.chooseblocks.xyz/community/thread-70.html Fri, 05 Feb 2016 10:48:29 +0000 https://www.chooseblocks.xyz/community/thread-70.html Hi everyone, this is just the updated and corrected version of Neil's and Yousif's polls, according to the latest new from KS Update #14. As you might have noticed, the first three options are for the Core, which now is made of stainless steel, while the other ones are for the modules. I should point out that the bottom casings of both the Core and the modules, in order to achieve a certain degree of continuity, will be black (a black metallic finish for the Core, clearly).

Here's a couple of pictures of the new metallic core, mind that these are just prototypes, the finishes that will be available are the ones that can be voted in the poll.

Yes, the black thing you can see on the side of the Core in the first picture is indeed a new button!]]>
