Branded would be great to get more support and ideas. Duplicate modules would be pointless, blocks GPS and to Tom GPS is redundant unless tech has advanced and it's now an improvement/upgrade.
As long as branded accept shells let me regular modules there wouldn't be an issue of branding/logos.

Branded casings and cores are a great idea. If brands can use the system to help advertise their products it would help put investment and advertising in the modules as well as help lower the price.

Not a bad I guess but since this is a open platform I'm sure we'll see far better modules created by developers that'll probably surpass branded ones currently out there. This is one of the best options ever made being open platform, well hopefully some don't go crazy now lol.

I would get a Canon camera over a stock one but a heartrate sensor, a GPS or something like that, I would just get a stock one.

Like everyone else said, Branding is fine but it will depend highly on functionality. Personally there are very few brands I trust enough to buy everything they put out but I know a lot of people will buy stuff based on brand alone. I think overall though I would consider paying a bit more if overall there branded module was a step up over a non branded one, also I think there logo on the module itself would definitely need to either be subtle or mesh well with the design of the watch/modules
