I'm quite happy with what we've already been promised; But am I missing something here, will the display on the core be swappable?

Other than that AMOLED is great and round display seems the better choice.
Agreed, as round AMOLED is the one that will be available in september, e-ink seems the perfect follow-up. I'd go around with the AMOLED on and the e-ink in the travel case, together with a couple of extra batteries. But I admit that I'm considering the possibilities that a curved (in the direction of the wrist curvature) display might offer the best touch size to dimension of the Core ratio, particularly for outdoor activities and such.

Consciousness - just a probability in infinite possibility!

No, I meant that I would consider useful to have a secondary Core (which would be also priced as a Core) based on a very low power tech, like e-ink, e-paper or Mirasol, to be uses when battery duration is an absolute priority.

Thanks Alesandro, just a bit of wishful thinking on my part. but maybe the next iteration? Swappable display modules!

The downside with this will be the price, if it has all capabilities from the core it will have to be priced around 150€.
I wish it could be just a screen module but if it were you'll need the screen module and the core itself.

That would be a nice idea for the future. Well, when the technology will allow BLOCKS to have a modular display with no excessive increase in thickness.

I think an e-ink display would be a cool module. It could be used to replace the main display for showing the time and notification icons, without using as much battery. This would also still allow the main display to be used for interacting with the watch, which side-steps the issue of the slow re-fresh rate of e-ink. Additionally, multiple e-ink modules could be used to increase the display area, and also choose a color or pattern based on the user's preference. Imagine being able to change the appearance of the watch's band based on your outfit, mood, or activity!
