I have seen updates on the Blocks Facebook page and on Kickstarter about a survey for backers in regard to color selection, module selection etc. I have not receive one, should I have? Do I need to contact someone, if I should have received it?

Order details, Module Selections and Surveys
The module selection surveys will happen in the month of February. The survey, encompassing your modules, future modules, colours and engravings will probably be one of the most complex surveys for a Kickstarter project. As a growing hardware startup with new developments occurring constantly, combined with the creative demands of our backers, this meant we had to design an appropriate process to record your order details, which has taken a bit of time.
Rest assured, it will be done before shipping, which is still a few months away.

It says that Surveys will be held in February, so it's expected for the upcomming update to be quit big.
You do not have to worry. The servey has yet to come

According to the update since they're upgrading to stainless steel, i'm just wondering will they'll have other options available by the time the survey comes out? Referring to compensating those that paid for a metallic finish?

The NCVM didn't meet the requirements of the team in terms of (I think) scratch resistance, so they dropped it. The Core will be made of stainless steel for everybody, and they are investigating about possible premium finishes for backers who paid extra for the metallic finish. If they don't find a suitable replacement, they'll refund the extra to backers that pledged for it. I, for one, was interested in the metallic finish, but didn't pledge for it waiting to see the final look of BLOCKS. I'll upgrade to the premium finish later if it is made available.

I'm in charge of writing the Survey and it's nearly done. With the new changes in the February update, we wanted to try anticipate all potential issues with the Survey ie order adjustments etc.

What about the PayPal backers? Will they be getting the survey forms, with the KS backers, on time?
There's no news about PayPal backers who paid directly from the website.
