Going by the shape of the Core Button (oblong) I'm assuming that it has a rocker action, thereby enabling more functionality. Whether it is a rocker type or not, I'm wondering what those functions would primarily be?

I should think it handy for turning off an alert or an alarm, perhaps rudimental menu manipulation, call answering and the like.

No infos on the button yet. The team stated on KS that they will come "in due time".

It would be a nice thing if apps could use it, not just OS reserved.
I think it could be used to pause music or answer calls.
