eSIM module?

Hi!
Does anyone consider to make an e-SIM module? Since the next Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 with it in March, why not to make an e-SIM module? Perhaps someone posted something about it, but I haven't seen anything...

Will the first generation eSim have full phone functionality, or will that wait for the second? I am looking forward to being able to leave my phone behind, at least on occasion...
