Hey all,

Regarding the memory debate I'd have to add in it would be super nice to have a higher count. I think it would be super cool to be able to use the device as a stand alone music player. With Bluetooth capability, wireless headphones are no issue. I know these days streaming pandora/spotify is the go to. But, I think it would be nice to leave my phone at home and go for a run with my watch tracking and supplying my Playlist.

What are others thoughts? Is being able to have your watch act as a stand alone music streaming device - of interest to the community?

The ability to listen to Spotify offline would be nice. At least till the cellular module is available.

I'd be completly fine with throwing in a preloaded micro sd card, I'm sure that would be the most simplistic option. But if i could stream pandora... blocks would be my forever go to.

I agree - just got my Dash wireless ear buds and I am very happy when I can simply leave my phone and take my stroll with my player buds providing the sounds - that make me think that having the option for my watch would make me even happier. thanks for bring the idea up.

"knowledge is not made for understanding - rather it is made for cutting"! For in reality nonunderstanding defines a hiatus in meaning, which is not to be viewed as objectionable - it is our life in struggle

Music is one of the main uses for smartwatches particularly for runs. How we will implement that will involve a lot of discussion between us BLOCKS team and you our backers. I'm happy you have started this. I think the main crossroads we will have face would be:

Which streaming service? Each app requires works on our part to make it happen. In terms of priority we will probably have to choose between Google Play or Spotify to focus our efforts.
Cellular Connectivity - We would need a constant connection for an effective streaming function. The SIM module would come later so what would we do in the meantime? Spotify's offline option is cool and if there was a way to use your phone to download the music onto your smartwatch temporarily for your run, it may be worth investigating.

I'm sure we will revisit this in the coming months as we approach shipping. Keep the ideas coming!

I consider an extra memory module an essential for my music. I don't stream unless connected up at home via wifi and only then, movies!

Consciousness - just a probability in infinite possibility!
