Will the Blocks Core have induction charging? Would be great to just lay it on a desk or night stand and have it start charging.
Magnetic Induction Charging?

Nope, a Qi coil would have added too much bulk and weight (it's basically a bunch of copper) to the current version of the Core. They might consider adding it in a future version of the Core, but a charging dock would work as good as a Qi one, with a well designed charging connector. By the way, quoting from KS: "The BLOCKS watch will come with a cable that can be connected by a proprietary connector to the Core of the watch."

While Qi wireless charging isn't possible on the watch. I would love for blocks to be to have a magnetic charging dock .
i think the watch had a magnetic "slap"on for the cable. maybe i'll make a 3d print standard for it

I'd like to get my hands on of them as well
P.S Me and this guy Alessandro were in talks about this on the KS Comments section as well. May be you should talk to him about this.. He has knowledge in the field of manufacturing and materials as far as I understand.

Do not think, that one block has a necessary real estate, to put the necessary equipment for the QI charging. It is too small for that (it is not a professional statement, just a quick tought on that).

Do we mean micro usb when talking about a proprietary connector?

Nope, it should be a proprietary connector made to be as small as thin as possible (and possibly not requiring the full insertion of a connector in a port like a micro-USB would), something like Pebble's one I think. It's still speculation at the moment, but we should see the final prototype in the next few months.

You can get the same effect by making it thicker with more coils stacked on each other. There has to be a unique doack for such a set up (to compensate for differences in current and potential for the different design) but fitting it in a module would be quite possible considering the thickness would be larger than a standard phone wireless charge system.
