Being a part of both groups has shown me that both members and ambassadors have the same amount of passion for BLOCKS and they both deserve a heightened chance at beta. That's just my 2 cents though.

I never intended to exclude Ambassadors.
I think Ambassadors are just the most enthusiastic of fans but they have the advantage to be able to spread BLOCKS philosophy to a large (or not so large) amount of peoples.
So yes, Ambassadors should be part of the beta program, because they can touch peoples with their first impressions before the release and so raise the desire for BLOCKS.

I think this is a great idea and it helps in so many ways, not only does the company get to iron out some issues, but it is nice that the product is being advertised more in the open and people would be more excited to try things out. I agree you should aim the modules at the correct types of people or the ones that will use the features the most, but don't forget that this also adds a bit of bias into the testing. They might overlook things or "know something" that a general tester wouldn't. I hate to say it, but sometimes these "other" testers are even worse, because they will actually focus on the things that are wrong or may not use the feature as designed. I am not saying to capitalize on these folks, but you do have to have a good variation to get the biggest bang for the buck.

I personally am just excited for the watch to come out and get to use it. I would love to beta test this watch, if it meant I was helping it progress or showing it off in comparison to the normal watches around here. Personally, I will become whatever I need to be: a hiker, a skier, you name it Ok, so I do those already...what else do I need to learn.
