Hi everyone, this is just the updated and corrected version of Neil's and Yousif's polls, according to the latest new from KS Update #14. As you might have noticed, the first three options are for the Core, which now is made of stainless steel, while the other ones are for the modules. I should point out that the bottom casings of both the Core and the modules, in order to achieve a certain degree of continuity, will be black (a black metallic finish for the Core, clearly).

Here's a couple of pictures of the new metallic core, mind that these are just prototypes, the finishes that will be available are the ones that can be voted in the poll.

Yes, the black thing you can see on the side of the Core in the first picture is indeed a new button!

Don't worry, as I told in the first post this thread is yours and Neil's!

I was waiting for some pictures of all the finishes, but I'll gladly start with the first ones!

This might just be me, but I think that the watch should also come in blue. I was really disappointed that the dark blue prototype in the video did not become a reality. I’d like to know how many other people want blue, or if it’s just me. If blue is not an option, then I’m definitely going with the black. How many people would like to see blue as a color option?

If I could go with any color combination, I'd choose a steel core in satin finish with blue modules failing that I think I'd probably go with red or black modules instead assuming one of the premium finishes didn't strike my fance.

In the original round of backing I opted for the premium finish as I am looking for something dressy enough to be able to ware to work in a professional setting.

With the casing now going to stainless, an option I would like to see for the premium finish would be a full titanium casing. I understand this may cost slightly more than what we paid extra for the premium finish, but I would be willing to pay it. Titanium is lighter, stronger and is available in a number of surface finishes.

Previously I was looking at the Seiko Astron 2014 Limited Edition for a number of reasons one of which was the ultra light weight (due to titanium casing and bracelet) for a watch of its size, felt beautiful on the wrist.

http://www.seiko-astron.com/2014limitededition/

A titanium case may also allow for further slimming of the profile (due to increased strength), but if the tooling is already set for the stainless, then new tooling for a limited number may not be "worth it".

As long as the tooling can cope with titanium, swapping materials should be relatively straight forward, and the only price difference would be in the cost differential between the stainless blanks/billets and the titanium blanks/billets.

Cheers,
Neil - Happy backer from Australia.

I like the idea of a blue color, either as modules or the watch itself. Without a blue, I'll be going black.
