SIM cards as we know them could have the hours counted. A few days ago the Financial Times and other major media revealed that Apple, Samsung and GSMA defend the development of an electronic SIM card that allows us to dispense with the physical SIM that currently require all mobile phones.

The support of these three entities is important, but apparently are not the only ones betting on eSIM. Some of the most important operators in the world, including AT & T, Verizon, China Unicom, Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, Telefonica, Vodafone and Orange, among others, also believe in eSIM. At first the possibility of dispensing with the traditional SIM can simplify and expedite the change of operator.

Samsung is the first manufacturer to include eSim in Samsung Gear 2
