I am bringing an idea posed by Andrew Mencher on the KS site - an encryption module. I know everyone is concerned about security and identity theft, so encrypting is becoming increasingly important. I don't know if this is something that would be done as a module or would be better incorporating into the core.

I don't think that a module would be used if we want this feature.
There is no hardware to add if you want to encrypt your data, just software changes to redirect the flow of data.

I think he's talking about some kind of "VPN module", enabling the watch to send all of your data encrypted and secured.

I know a fingerprint module is in the works - due to come out in the 2nd phase, I think. That would control access to the watch, but would not affect security of the data as it is transmitted. That is where encryption comes in.

Sorry, finally got an account, I am the one who suggested it in the comments.
I did mean more like a VPN or something to make sure outgoing and incoming calls/messages are only received by the intended recipients and no one else. Especially if there is going to be a SIM card module and the watch will be acting as a standalone communication device.
