Hey Pals,

I was wondering, how did everyone get to know Blocks and for how long have you been following Blocks?

This is my story how I got to know Blocks
I got to know blocks when I was looking somewhere to get to know the newest technology stuff and ideas. I went on to search for an app on the Android and got to know Techfunder.
There were a lot of awesome tech projects I saw there. Then I saw something that directly got my attention, mentioning a modular smartwatch. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but reading trough the campaign I was a bit surprised as they actually had their stuff together.
Afterwards I did a background research and noticed that the whole project was already building up for 2 years. It explained directly why it seemed so well-prepared and I pledged immediately.

When you ran into a problem, don't give up.
Most of the time a nice workaround will help you further.

I first came across Blocks during the Intel Make it Wearable challenge where Blocks was on the top 10 list
I've been following them since that day and was signed up on their mailing list. Once they went live on Kickstarter I backed them and from then on as they the rest is history lol....

Hi,
I don't quite remember how I first get to know blocks but I've followed them for 2 years now.
Since then, I was really invested in the media campaign, posting on social medias and asking journalists to talk about blocks.
This is how I became an ambassador

I do remember when the connectors looked like stereo jacks

I learned from it from their original announcement which I came across a few days after they announced it from a search about the Google phone module system.
I been following the project ever since and avoided buyiong any smartwatches for the simple reason that the module system made more sense to me.

Hi,
From what I can remember it was either from the Kickstarter project updates we can get sent to our emails or a random facebook add I noticed and decided to go check it out. I do spend quite some time on KS browsing different projects from time to time.

I don't even remember when I first came across BLOCKS, it feels like it was eons ago! It was back in the day when the connectors looked like stereo jacks on renders. I got mad when I missed the chance to get one of the 1000 members spots in late 2014. They rolled out a ton of updates on Facebook, but my provider had recently upgraded its infrastructure in the area and I asked to get a faster connection. Which left me internet-less for two weeks, hooray! I was super happy when they opened memberships again, because this time I made it in time (pardon the pun)!

In all honesty, blame Kickstarter. I go through Kickstarter and Indiegogo at lease once to twice a week. I am a technology enthusiast and I love looking at what people are coming out with over the last few years. I have been following Blocks for some years now. I had it fall off my radar until it came back with suddenness. I googled it up and was instantly hooked and pleased again that it was funded. I hope to see this to the end now.

I happened on the Kickstarter page somehow and waffles a while before jumping in with both feet. I had resisted buying a smartwatch to this point, because they seemed rather limited. BLOCKS blew that out of the water.

I can't really remember when I first came across BLOCKS, but I do have the feeling it was a completely random suggestion from either my YouTube, Google, or Facebook feeds. I immediately jumped on board. I felt like BLOCKS finally moved the smartwatch from the realm of luxury to practicality; that is to say, it finally made the smartwatch useful.

The idea I just expressed is what I believe to be the key to why the smartwatch has not yet become a dominant force in the consumer electronics market. The smartwatches before BLOCKS have lacked the functionality to encourage people to justify the expense of getting such a device. For me, stumbling across BLOCKS was my encounter with what I think is the crucial smartwatch revolution the brings the product market to the mainstream.

I can't honestly remember. :/

Probably a news article or an advertisement on a tech blog.
