Thanks, will do! I suppose if BLOCKS integrates with the Apple Healthkit then it would be ok as well, we can select "which device" is used for logging steps.

doubt it apple would let 3rd party trackers integrate with their Health kit. No one will buy their overprices watches anymore then.

Fitbit, polar, withings, etc many 3rd party already have access to the healthkit. Apple has opened the Homekit and Healthkit to 3rd party for sometime now in an attempt to be more "open" (semi-open lol)

Ah that's nice, I've been away from Apple Jail platform for a while now ! But it's nice to see they finally make an effort at the very least to accommodate 3rd party accessories. Then again I am not sure how much data and information is available to these 3rd party manufacturers.

I'd like to see some kind of keyless car entry system support. It be kind of cool to be able to enter your car using your watch (but pretty unsafe). IDK what tech cars use but I'm pretty sure its possible.

Here's a pretty simple idea, can we have the option to have the screen turn off while charging? Completely off, not just dimmed greyscale.

As this will be my first foray into smart-watches I don't have much knowledge as to what I might want or need later on, but if I were to base it on what I do know right now, it's customization.

Custom watchfaces, not just being able to pick from a few, and change some colors, but being able to build them from scratch, like a zooper widget.

Custom settings in the launcher, enabling color settings, size, feel, animation, etc.

And root access allowing custom rom developement.


I realize some of these may be quite naive, but it would be nice...

I would like to have seamless integration of the touchone keyboard in the blocks smartwatch. This because the most common complaints I hear about smartwatches is the usabillity of the keyboard.
This would add an USP for blocks if it's integrated at the core of the software shell, thus useable for all messaging apps.

Blocks will be teaming up with Touch One as they said on their twitter account.

Im not totally sure how these smart watches work with android, but it would be great if it is as easy to install a software update to the watch as it is to install an update on an iphone. (as in downloads update in background and installs when you want it to, like while it is charging/ at a certain time/ whenever you want)
