So, just throwing an idea out here....
What if, created a "sleep module" that would replace the "core" while the core is charging, but it would still have comms with the core via BT, WiFi, NFC, or what have you for data transfer etc. That way, the core can be charged at night, you can still wear the modules to track sleep and perhaps if the heart rate module is linked as well, that too. Sleep patterns with HR rate. Wake up in the AM, replace the sleep module with the core (all fully charged) and go about your day!

So the sleep module itself could have a small battery that would last the night, and fit onto the "dock" that the core fits onto (during the day and re-charge)

Thoughts? This was just a random thought I had last night...

The modules work with the core, they don't have the ability to work by themselves. Sounds way too much effort to track sleep, just charge your device during the day or something if you really want to track your sleep at night.

This sounds like it will be more feasible once the expansion module is out. Sleep tracking is one of the big selling points in fitness trackers, but they usually have a bit longer battery life. This is one of the limitations of battery life of 1 - 1 1/2 days that the most convenient time to charge is overnight, and that needs to happen almost every day. Charging during the day is not a bad option if you are sitting at a desk most of the time.
