Yes Fitbit is a great idea, I currently use the Surge and would love for Blocks to replace it day one with all features (GPS, HR, sleep tracking, sports tracking, auto sense with no need to tell it what you are doing).
What about Pebble? Clearly a direct competitor but with their core already having connectors for band expansion, there may be a benefit to collaboration.
Don't hate, how about Apple? I keep hearing about limited function on IOS and that worries me. Maybe licensing would make sense for a partnership.
I love the proposed shell partnership and hope to see many options in colors/finish.
Pavlok, a module that can shock you to change bad habits, no pain no gain.
Leatherman, they recently released a bracelet of tools, maybe incorporate a module with similar functions.

To go from seeing basic notification content on the watch screen to projecting a larger screen onto your arm and being able to interact with the projected screen. Unfortunately the current tech for Cicret looks bulky, but perhaps over time as the tech develops and improves an iteration of the core blocks module with cicret projection tech built in would be possible.

Exactly what I was going to say

I think Samsung would be a good partner for their SSDs and Smartthings

What about SolidEnergy? Their innovative Li-Metal battery is much smaller and has a higher energy density than all Li-ion batteries currently used in consumer devices. If I remember correctly, they were interested in working on a battery module for Project Ara too, to overcome its size constraints. They might interested in partnering or working alongside the company behind another modular-oriented project.

Would like to see BLOCKS integrate with Withings, and perhaps MyFitnessPal (under armour)

A partnership with Polar would be very interesting. Not only because of its own watches, but also the conection with most of gym cardio-machines, like bikes.

I think that blocks should partner with Moov. Moov created a very impressive watch for fitness that will give you live coaching using sensors. The only thing (luckily, otherwise I wouldn’t have found blocks) that kept me from getting it was that it didn’t have a screen. I would be a good partnership because it would bring a ‘profesional’ sports module to the watch.
